About the role
CareFirst Specialty Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Pharmacy Technician.
Responsibilities
- Answer and triage inbound/outbound calls
- Properly identify customers' needs and assist with the ordering process
- Aid customers with questions regarding products and services
- Assist with order inquiries
- Create customer accounts and orders
- Make fax requests to prescribers
- Process and route fax requests
- Attach ERX prescriptions to customer profiles
- Input correct data into pharmacy software
- Validate and add prescriber information
- Bill and process payments correctly
- Use Pk Compounding Software and Prime RX
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- New Jersey state pharmacy technician license or PTCB/NHA certification within 90 days of hire
- CareFirst state board of pharmacy approved technician training program completion
- Experience working in a call center (optional)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- PTCB or NHA certification
- Experience in retail or call center pharmacy or related fields
- Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills
Skills
- Proficient with Pk Compounding Software and Prime RX
- Knowledge of pharmacy software
- Ability to use Google functions, download, save, and attach files to the pharmacy software
