Customer Service Lead

About the role

This position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service at the store's front end, supervising daily activities in the absence of the Customer Service Manager, and ensuring operational efficiency to support the store's financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process transactions including cash, checks, debit/credit cards, and other payment media according to policies.
• Manage return-to-stock items promptly, prioritizing perishables.
• Maintain knowledge of product locations, sales promotions, and coupon deals.
• Train team members on department activities and supervise staffing to meet productivity targets.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products following established guidelines.
• Keep the department clean, well-stocked, and attractive, adhering to safety, food safety, and guest experience standards.
• Perform additional duties and tasks across departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in computer applications (email, spreadsheets).
• Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Accounting and bookkeeping knowledge, with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Ability to develop and manage budgets, delegate tasks, and suggest product sales strategies.
• Attention to detail and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks in a retail environment.

Physical requirements

Must meet physical demands such as lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, standing, and walking for extended periods. Work environment includes varied temperatures and moderate noise levels.
