Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative will be the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience from equipment receipt to shipment. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Accurately log incoming equipment into our tracking system, ensuring all necessary information is captured.
- Receive and inspect incoming equipment, verifying completeness and noting any discrepancies.
- Manage equipment checkout and return processes for clients, maintaining accurate records.
- Respond to client inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner. Provide updates on equipment status and calibration progress. Proactively communicate with clients regarding any issues or delays.
- Answer incoming calls, provide information and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records, file documents, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a technical or industrial setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to learn and utilize specialized software and tracking systems.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move packages, up to a certain weight.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a calibration laboratory or related industry.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Familiarity with quality management systems.
