Customer Service Engineer - Union - MR/CT/XP - Northeast Upstate NY
About the role
Performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment. Service Area – Orange County NY- Clinton County NY (I87 Corridor)
Responsibilities
- Service MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), CT (Computer Tomography), and X-Ray.
- Customer Service Engineer Level based on prior experience.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthineers equipment.
- Deliver timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction.
- Manage financial performance within your territory through inventory management, time management, and timely service call closure.
- Manage company assets to include a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc.
- Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma. Technical degree, military training, or equivalent applicable training preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, torque wrenches, etc.).
- Ability to work individually and in a team setting.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- 10+ years’ experience of complex electro-mechanical, or as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments needed.
- Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
Qualifications
- Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
- Highly organized and able to plan.
- Performing mainly pre-defined, technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance jobs) and work packages on-site and remotely.
- Supporting customer remotely and onsite and providing 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues.
- Capturing and reporting on service metrics and KPIs.
- Supporting in generating sales leads for pre-defined service offers and contributing to planning activities.
- Adhering to defined processes and applicable regulations.
Skills
- Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
- Experience in testing, repairing, and maintaining capital medical equipment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment.
- General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, and grounding.

Schedule
Shift Requirements after onboarding/training for this role: work schedule) Monday – Friday 3:00 pm-11:30pm (1500-2330)
