Customer Service - Donor Support Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Maintains alertness and awareness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notifies appropriate staff.
• Records incidents that occur during the pheresis process using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).
• Links equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Accurately records donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintains a clean and efficient work environment.
• Ensures sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed.
• Fulfills job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Basic math calculations.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, and have high level of manual dexterity.
• Working Conditions: Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood borne pathogens.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Required to wear while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
• Work Hours: Overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs.
