About the role

Our Inventory Management and Distribution (IMD) Associates communicate daily with our partner hospitals regarding blood product inventory and patient needs. Associates document orders and prepare shipments of life-saving blood products for delivery to our hospital clients as well as emergency and restocking deliveries to other ImpactLife locations.

Schedule

Every two-week rotating schedule:

  • Week 1: Tuesday–Wednesday 10a–5p, Thursday–Friday 12p–5p, Saturday 11a–4p
  • Week 2: Tuesday–Friday 3p–9p, Saturday 11a–4p

Responsibilities

  • Fill routine and emergency orders while following appropriate procedures ensuring accurate order entry and fulfillment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients.
  • Maintain positive and professional communications.
  • Assist hospital personnel with inquiries.
  • Track and rotate inventory of blood products.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in blood or pharmaceutical inventory management, hospital customer relations, or logistics is preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of customers and staff (paid and volunteer).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Valid driver’s license and REAL ID.
  • Ability to operate Blood Center vehicles.
  • Physical requirements: ability to stand, sit, and maintain regular and recurring physical exertion such as reaching, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Pre-employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report are required.
