Customer Service Delivery Driver

This role is based at Store #3537, located at 116 Fifth Street SW, Ste D, Mason City, IA 50401.

About the role

This part-time position works closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. You will also deliver products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores in a safe and timely manner using Company vans or pick-up trucks.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors, and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. A review of criminal history is required to protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistent with policies and procedures
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
• Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, safety procedures, etc., when driving a vehicle
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
• Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.

Requirements

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (preferred)
• At least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position (preferred)
• Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products (preferred)
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language (preferred)
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish (preferred)

Pay

Starting pay: $16.26 per hour or based on relevant experience.
