POSITION SUMMARY

The CLUB Customer Service Outfitter provides world-class customer service for our guests while offering them the benefits of becoming a CLUB Member. This role involves executing account servicing and other CLUB processes, including acquiring and activating new members, CLUB sales, customer experience, peer coaching, and regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Safeguards a positive customer experience and ensures a pleasant shopping environment for all customers.
  • Proactively engages customers to encourage them to become Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s CLUB Members or offers them a unique experience as a current member.
  • Executes all CLUB operational and compliance programs.
  • Demonstrates products to customers and helps them understand advertised sales.
  • Maintains a high level of performance against self and store metrics and objectives.
  • Ensures CLUB inventory is accurate and the booth is kept clean and organized.
  • Provides a full CLUB Member experience, including service processes like processing payments, answering account questions, and managing applications.
  • Shares daily feedback and reports promptly and accurately.
  • Supports and coaches peers, recognizing their efforts and providing encouragement.
  • Supports the store by providing service across various areas as needed.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
    • Experience in a customer service environment.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
    • High level of self-motivation and initiative.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand and/or walk during shift to assist customers on the sales floor, etc.
  • Hear well enough to constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
  • Constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Constantly assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Light work that includes lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly.
  • Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, step stools, etc.
  • Occasionally work in noisy environments.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

  • Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation.
  • Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems.
  • Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
