Customer Service Clerk FT
R+L Carriers is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work at our Oakland, CA Service Center.
About the role
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with customers and assisting customers and other R+L employees in tracking and monitoring freight movement. CSRs use customer retention techniques to ensure customers feel valued and listened to, resolve their issues, and promote company goals and objectives. This includes daily freight tracing with customers, assisting other terminals in freight-related issues, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

- Perform daily freight tracing with customers

Requirements
- Strong communication and telephone skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to deal with potentially stressful situations
- General office and customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Outlook, and other Microsoft products
- Ability to type 30+ WPM
Qualifications
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience as a clerk or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: Freight logistics experience
Pay
Hourly rate is $22.07.
Schedule
Full-Time, Monday - Friday, various shifts.
