About the role
As a Customer Service professional, you will manage customer communication, follow-ups, and EDI analysis to understand customer needs. You will oversee the customer portal, track KPIs on scorecards, and analyze internal processes to identify root causes of issues. Your role involves verifying and communicating release requirements, managing SAP data, and maintaining customer material information records.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, submit, verify, and communicate release requirements.
- Manage SAP data, including creating customer master records and schedule arrangements for new part numbers.
- Create and maintain customer material information records and customer-specific work instructions.
- Process shipments and invoices.
- Review and maintain customer website information as needed.
- Compare price lists provided by Sales against pricing in scheduling agreements and update pricing in ASN text.
- Review and troubleshoot the status of incoming and outgoing EDI transactions.
- Assist with returnable dunnage issues and process customer returns.
- Communicate freight scheduling with Shipping and organize/track expedited freight.
- Research and resolve accounts receivable issues (e.g., freight charges, returns).
- Resolve delivery performance differences with customer locations.
- Update customer portals, team measurables, and customer scorecards as necessary.
Requirements
- Related experience in customer service or a similar role.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with SAP.
- Dynamic communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
