About the role
The Customer Service Assistant I (CSA) Float performs a variety of teller and customer service duties as needed. This role requires proficiency in processing teller transactions and completing basic customer service tasks such as opening routine checking, savings, and certificate of deposit accounts, processing account maintenance, and handling customer inquiries. The incumbent will sell and service all deposit accounts, provide prompt problem resolution, and use needs-based sales techniques to uncover referral opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Highly proficient in processing various teller transactions and routine customer service-related tasks.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and respond to customer inquiries to recommend appropriate products or solutions.
- Open basic deposit accounts, assist with electronic banking inquiries, complete account maintenance, and make referrals to other lines of business.
- Maintain and balance a cash drawer accurately and efficiently.
- Provide a high level of service to customers, coworkers, and team members.
- Understand and follow various policies, guidelines, and procedures including security, compliance, and operations.
- Participate in ongoing job-related training programs, including sales, service, compliance, and product knowledge.
- May float to another local branch to cover staffing if needed.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of teller or customer service banking experience in a branch or call center environment.
- Strong sales, service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to interact well with others and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational, technical, and computer skills.
- Adaptability to change and ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong knowledge of teller and customer service processes, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Satisfactory product knowledge of banking products and services with the ability for further development.
- Must already be authorized to work in the United States; relocation is not provided.
Pay
$18.00 - $23.63 hourly
