Customer Service Associate - Temporary

Responsibilities

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient checkout service; register sales, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos, poster prints, creative machine, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities: monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, fill orders, and deliver to customers.

Operations

• Recommend items for sale, trade‑up, or companion items.
• Keep counters and shelves clean, well‑merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
• Check in and price merchandise as directed.
• Implement asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies; rotate consumable items using FIFO method.
• Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to keep the store clean and orderly.
• Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager or corporate.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.

Pay

Salary Range: $15 – $17.50 per hour.

Schedule

Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekend hours.
