Customer Service Associate - Temporary

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers, offering assistance, and resolving issues.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register, process cash, provide change, and handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Recommend items, trade‑up or companion products to customers.
• Maintain clean, well‑merchandised counters and shelves; take inventory, keep records, price merchandise, and assist with stock rotation using FIFO.
• Implement company asset‑protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Separate food items according to policy and assist with product placement (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves).
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster printing, creative machine usage, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
• Handle web pick‑up responsibilities: monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, pick items, and deliver orders to customers.
• Assist with exterior and interior store maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager or corporate.

Requirements

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: at least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Preferred: prior work experience with Walgreens.

Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekend hours.

Pay

Salary range: $17.13 – $19 per hour.
