Customer Service Associate - Temporary

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient checkout service; register sales, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices, including Walgreens service traits such as proactive help, need identification, and servicing until satisfied.
• Recommend items, trade‑ups, and companion products; keep counters and shelves clean, well‑merchandised, and maintain inventory records.
• Check‑in and price merchandise, implement asset‑protection procedures, and ensure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with food‑item separation, stock rotation using FIFO, and proper product placement according to policies.
• Provide photo‑area services, including digital passport photos, poster prints, creative machine usage, and suggestive selling of photo products.
• Handle web pick‑up orders in Picture Care Plus, fill orders, and deliver them to customers.
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly store appearance both interior and exterior.
• Comply with all company policies, maintain respectful coworker relationships, and complete special assignments as assigned.
• Attend required training and complete performance‑learning plans (PPLs) as directed by manager or corporate.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: at least six months of retail experience, preferably with Walgreens.

Pay

Salary range: $15 – $17.50 per hour (actual compensation depends on geography, skills, education, experience, and other factors).
