Your Role at Dollar Tree
- Receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and processing freight in a safe manner
- Merchandising and stocking as needed
- Aiding with cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
- Maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
- Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register
- Maintaining security of cash and protecting company assets
Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
- Able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High level of integrity
- Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting
