Customer Service Assistant

Job Summary

Ascot is looking for a Customer Service Assistant to support our customer service phone number as well as other essential administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Answering the Worker’s Compensation Customer Service number and triage calls as appropriate
• Responsible for looking up claim numbers and adjusters in various Ascot programs, as well as routing calls to the correct place
• Helps sort Worker’s Compensation mail in and assign mail to the correct adjuster
• Supports our office manager and our mailroom as needed
• Sorts incoming Worker’s Compensation checks for processing

Requirements

• 1-3 years of related work experience
• Associates Degree preferred; High School Diploma required
• Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work on a team, meet deadlines, and successfully perform in a changing, fast-paced work environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter and focused eye for detail and accuracy
• Effective time management and organizational skills
