Customer Service Agent-Warehouse

About the role

The Customer Service Agent-Warehouse (CSA-W) plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service to clients by managing customer orders, maintaining accurate records, and interacting with customers efficiently. As part of the DSV team, CSA-Ws are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Process and input all customer orders.
• Run and print shipments from Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Generate all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work orders.
• Check all orders for special requests and expedite as necessary.
• Follow up with other departments to ensure service standards are met.
• Handle returned merchandise efficiently and provide proper credit to customers.
• Maintain a good working relationship with customers by responding to inquiries and complaints.
• Act as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer for account administration and invoicing.
• Avoid discrepancies by ensuring accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents.
• Assist in resolving any discrepancies and prepare reports as required.
• Operate the computer terminal proficiently and enter and verify data accurately and promptly.
• Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain corresponding files.
• Answer phone calls, operate office machines, and greet customers and visitors.
• Direct visitors to appropriate departments and assist drivers at the check-in window.
• May be cross-trained in other administrative staff functions to support the site and contribute to associate development.
• Work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in Customer Service-related capacity.
• Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse.
• Intermediate computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications, and WMS functions.
• English language skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Intermediate mathematical skills to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multi-task.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
