About the Opportunity

The Customer Service Advocate will step into a highly vital, empathetic advocacy role engineered to serve as the frontline navigator for complex healthcare benefits and plan utilization. This position takes comprehensive operational ownership of the end-to-end customer resolution lifecycle, acting as a trusted guide for members as they decipher their insurance options. Blending technical knowledge of consumer-driven healthcare with exceptional interpersonal communication, the Advocate will demystify coverage tiers, coordinate directly with clinical providers, and troubleshoot complex claims—directly driving first-call resolution metrics, eliminating patient anxiety, and empowering individuals to maximize the real-world value of their healthcare plans.

Responsibilities

  • Command high-volume inbound communications, proactively resolving intricate inquiries regarding coverage benefits, member eligibility, medical claims, financial accounts, and corporate correspondence on the initial point of contact
  • Educate and guide plan participants on consumer-driven healthcare models, enabling them to confidently select optimal benefit structures and extract maximum value from their health plan assets
  • Serve as a direct liaison between patients and clinical ecosystems by contacting care providers to expedite appointment scheduling and secure specialized care connections
  • Onboard and guide members through advanced digital health platforms, empowering them to manage their medical balances and care logistics independently
  • Demonstrate elite cognitive multitasking capabilities, maintaining rigorous attention to detail and absolute data integrity while documenting live member interactions
  • Maintain operational agility by supporting auxiliary customer touchpoints and cross-functional service requests across diverse business lines as required by leadership

Qualifications

  • Possession of a High School Diploma, General Educational Development (GED) equivalent, or a demonstrated track record of equivalent practical professional experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older at the time of employment
  • A minimum of one (1) year of progressive, hands-on experience within a fast-paced customer service, patient advocacy, or high-volume support environment
  • Proven technical proficiency navigating Windows PC environments, multi-monitor setups, and proprietary enterprise software systems simultaneously
  • Functional competence across the core Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for internal documentation
  • Demonstrated stamina and focus required to successfully manage a high-volume workflow of 50 to 70 comprehensive customer interactions daily
  • Full operational flexibility to support full-time, 8-hour shift schedules assigned between the core window of 10:30 AM and 7:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday, with openness to occasional overtime or weekend rotations
