About the role
Our Customer Sales & Service Representatives (CSSRs) are knowledgeable, energetic, and consistently deliver the best overall customer experience. They serve both commercial and residential consumers in the green industry. Candidates with plant knowledge are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service to all SiteOne customers
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with customers
- Aid customers with their questions and needs, either in person, via the phone, or through online ordering
- Respond to and resolve more complex questions and issues based on more experience and greater knowledge of products and customer base
- Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick-up or delivery
- Proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow sales with current and potential customers
- Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance
- Assist with merchandising product, managing inventory, and other store tasks while maintaining a safe working environment
- May assist in the onboarding and/or training of new associates
- Coach and assist less experienced staff in meeting expected customer service and satisfaction goals
Requirements
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred
- 3+ years of green industry experience or knowledge of landscape, nursery, or irrigation products
- Plant knowledge preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a retail or wholesale setting
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
- Ability to think quickly and make sound decisions
- Inventory management experience helpful
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Starting Pay
Starting pay will depend on factors such as location and experience, and will always meet or exceed applicable state and local minimum wage laws.
