Customer Relibility Engineer - Isovalent
About the role
The role is a Customer Reliability Engineer (CRE) position at Isovalent, a Cisco company. This role is fully remote and can be performed from any location within the United States. Responsibilities
- Adapt Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices to customer environments
- Work with various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to provide world-class support and issue resolution
- Gain a deep understanding of customers' architectures and configurations
- Resolve issues with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies in small to medium size Kubernetes environments
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Container Networking Interfaces (CNI)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of related experience or Master’s degree + 6 years of related experience or PhD + 3 years of related experience
- 6+ years of direct experience supporting and engaging with enterprise customers in a technical capacity
- 3+ years of experience operating Linux systems
- 2+ years of experience managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters or similar technologies in production environments
- Knowledge of standard methodologies for Linux operating systems security and their application in cloud-native technologies and environments
- Experience using network troubleshooting tools, including packet capture and analysis utilities
- Demonstrated expertise in networking concepts and technologies across OSI layers 2 through 7
- Prior professional experience with Container Networking Interfaces (CNI)

- Evidence of direct experience using network troubleshooting tools, including packet capture and analysis utilities
- Knowledge of standard methodologies for Linux operating systems security and their application in cloud-native technologies and environments
- Experience resolving issues with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies in small to medium size Kubernetes environments
- Prior professional experience with Container Networking Interfaces (CNI)

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $158,200.00 to $200,700.00, reflecting the projected salary range for new hires in U.S. and Canadian locations. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.
Schedule
The role is scheduled to work during business hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, in the Pacific Time Zone.
