About the role

This role involves maintaining relationships with current accounts/patients and ensuring they have the necessary equipment for home healthcare needs. The position offers an hourly range of $22-25, with actual compensation based on job-related factors.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a single point of contact for specific accounts
  • Responds to customer needs, concerns, and complaints
  • Consults with clients and referral sources on products and necessary equipment
  • Obtains all required documentation for orders and enters them into the system
  • Manages all follow-up functions with the account, including service scheduling and billing/payment
  • Contacts patients to confirm orders and communicate financial obligations
  • Affirms patient's needs and promotes company products/services at office visits
  • Proactively resolves issues by anticipating and identifying problems and coordinating solutions
  • Troubleshoots any issues with medical groups and relevant on-site departments
  • Assists medical groups and/or other provider groups in understanding products and services
  • Participates in quality assurance/performance improvement initiatives
  • Maintains reimbursement of products/services by performing timely follow-ups on initial/renewal authorizations
  • Follows up on outstanding CMNs, Renewal CMNs, and prescriptions
  • Trains patients on the use of equipment/services
  • Responds to emergency calls and related needs during regular business hours and on an On-Call basis
  • Coordinates patient services with physicians and medical groups
  • Performs timely follow-ups on initial/renewal authorizations to maintain reimbursement of products/services
  • May instruct patients on the use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services
  • Operates a Personally Owned Vehicle (POV) in accordance with essential job functions
  • Sets-up and delivers home healthcare products and services
  • Performs other duties as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • At least 2 years of related experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Word, and basic mathematical proficiency
  • Physical demands: Regularly required to use hands to write, use computer, operate a motor vehicle, use a hand-held device, telephone, and use a document imaging system and manipulate documents. Requires frequent variations including sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, reaching or stooping. Must be able to safely operate and possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
