About the role

Iron Mountain is seeking a highly strategic and motivated Customer Relationship Executive to join our Federal Contracting team. This role involves managing strategic customer relationships within the Federal Market to drive business growth and ensure comprehensive contract success.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Account Growth and Portfolio Success: Own the end-to-end strategy for civilian agencies to maximize market share growth, successfully shifting partnerships from sub-contractor to Prime positions while consistently achieving high proposal win rates and contract renewal rates.
  • Collaborate across Senior Leadership and Internal Teams: Act as the strategic liaison between high-ranking agency officials, including the Senior Executive Service, and internal teams—including Sales, Business Line Subject Matter Experts, Operations, Contracts, Legal, and Enterprise Information Technology—to align solutions with agency needs.
  • Represent the Brand and Build Market Intelligence: Identify, cultivate, and maintain robust relationships with key government decision-makers by actively representing Iron Mountain at industry days, vendor outreach sessions, and government-sponsored events.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years of dedicated experience in the Federal Market (specifically focusing on Civilian Agencies), including at least 5 years of experience in a mid-to-large-size account relationship management role for a Federal contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of complex acquisition strategies, including General Services Administration schedules, Other Transaction Authorities, and strategic subcontracting to partners and system integrators.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence at the C-suite level, utilizing an extensive network of current and former senior government leaders alongside the communication skills necessary to translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (an active Top Secret security clearance and/or background as a former senior-level government official is highly desirable).

Pay

Reasonably expected salary range: $142,100.00 - $189,400.00
