Customer Program Manager - Custom Silicon/SoC
About the role
Owns day-to-day execution of assigned custom silicon customer programs, including MIPS-based MCUs and Sensor SoCs, for strategic customers (e.g., automotive Tier-1s). Acts as the primary program execution interface between the customer and GlobalFoundries/MIPS cross-functional teams, ensuring predictable delivery, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction across the full silicon lifecycle.
Essential Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end execution of assigned customer-specific silicon programs from early engagement through SOP, volume ramp, and sustaining.
- Serve as the single point of contact for program execution with the customer, providing clear communication on status, risks, and commitments.
- Drive cross-functional coordination across IP, design, verification, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams.
- Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, milestones, and risk registers for complex custom products.
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate technical, schedule, cost, or supply risks.
- Support change management, including scope changes, milestones updates, and customer change requests.
- Ensure programs meet customer delivery, quality, and performance expectations.

Other Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in semiconductors, with exposure to SoC, MCU, or custom silicon programs.
- Experience working directly with customers and internal engineering teams across silicon development lifecycles.
- Strong execution mindset with ability to operate independently.

Expected Salary Range
$143,000.00 - $247,000.00
