About the role

The Startup Operation members (SET Ops) act as setup consultants and handle all aspects of new Dedicated Transportation Solutions business startups, along with ongoing support of Field Operations. This includes both driver and manager training for basic system operations and often includes aiding and functioning in the expected role. Travel is extensive for this role and is expected to be around 75-80%. You will be assigned to a new business location anywhere within the country for a specific amount of time and will not be able to travel back and forth to your home location during that period.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors.
  • Ensure both drivers and managers understand core operations and systems used for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
  • Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase.
  • Train new management teams and Certified Driver Trainer groups.
  • Build out process flows and provide guidance on consistency of operations.
  • Engage in writing process documents, system testing, and design-level consulting for new product components.
  • Prioritize work-tasks and manage day-to-day task items effectively.

  • Ability to effectively manage Profit & Loss statements may be necessary depending on the complexity and scope of the operation (preferred).

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Two (2) years or more of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or a related industry required.
  • One (1) year or more of direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) is required; advanced skills preferred.
  • Advanced logistics industry knowledge required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations; advanced required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components; intermediate required.
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production; advanced required.

Pay

Salaried position with a minimum pay range of $65K and a maximum pay range of $70K. The compensation offered may be influenced by relevant experience, education, work location, market data, and internal equity.

The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
