Customer Experience Specialist

Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Customer Experience Specialist to join our Adoptions team at our Papago Park Campus. This vital role creates a welcoming, compassionate experience for every visitor.

Schedule

Wednesday through Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, providing professional, compassionate service to customers, adopters, volunteers, and community members
• Welcome visitors, answer questions, and navigate customers to appropriate departments
• Educate visitors on the wide range of programs and services offered by AHS
• Provide empathetic support to individuals arriving with animals in need
• Resolve customer concerns and ensure every interaction reflects AHS’s commitment to exceptional service and compassionate care
• Coordinate customer flow by managing wait times and facilitate the adoption check-in process
• Assist with adoption paperwork and animal profiles
• Receive deliveries and in-kind donations
• Maintain a professional front lobby
• Provide general support to the Adoptions team

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required
• 1+ year prior work experience in an administrative or receptionist role preferred
• 2+ years customer service experience working with the public
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Flexible, personable, and passionate about helping pets and people
• Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking required
• Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds
• Occasional wet floors, animal noises, odors, and dander
• Most time spent in a typical air-conditioned and heated office environment
