Responsibilities

• Ensure all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact.
• Train the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer-service experience so every guest has a fast, friendly checkout.
• Lead your store to achieve and maintain customer-service score goals set by the District Manager.
• Oversee front-end operations, merchandising (candy, soda, snacks), and brand-standard compliance.
• Keep all front-end equipment operational and train associates on applicable services.
• Perform opening/closing procedures, maintain store cleanliness, recovery, and readiness for customers.
• Act as the Store Manager in their absence.
• Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train, coach, develop, and supervise all crew members.
• Review and act on all corporate communications.
• Collaborate with the store leadership team on merchandising and World Recovery.
• Handle store maintenance (garbage, sweeping, bathroom cleaning, stock-room upkeep).
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Store Manager.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently operate a cash register.
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items up to 5–10 feet high.
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Frequently communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers in person, by telephone, and via email.
• Frequently move across the sales floor and to/from the stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and travel as required).
• Identify and follow email and print instructions for layouts, schedules, and standard procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
• Be at least 18 years old and able to perform all essential functions in compliance with applicable laws.
