Customer Experience Manager

About the role

The Customer Experience Manager (CEM) is a key leadership position within Five Below stores. Reporting to the Store Manager, the CEM oversees the Support Lead, Lead Cashier(s), and all associates, managing both front-end operations and cash management. The role also includes responsibilities such as training staff, ensuring store cleanliness, and driving sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all associates and managers are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers
• Lead Front End Operations
• Train the staff on the High Fives of Customer Service
• Maintain store cleanliness and readiness for customers
• Perform SM duties in absence
• Supervise, train, coach, and develop all Associates
• Drive store sales and control expenses
• Review and react to corporate communications
• Partner with supervisors or corporate office regarding store issues
• Drive Key Metrics: Sales, ADS, CSAT Scores, and Expense Control

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• College experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Creative thinking
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure

Qualifications

• Ability to operate cash register frequently
• Ability to move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
• Ability to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop frequently
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with customers, managers, and coworkers
• Ability to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time

Pay

$15.00 per hour

Schedule

Frequent shifts may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Exact schedule will be determined by the Store Manager based on store needs.
