Key Responsibilities
- Acknowledges and is actively engaged with customers in a courteous, helpful, and respectful manner; promptly and politely responds to customer inquiries and requests for support.
- Processes all customer transactions through the register, packages customer purchases.
- Acknowledges customers in line and partners with leadership if additional assistance needed.
- Communicates the benefits of current reward programs and collects email addresses from customers at register to enhance marketing outreach.
- Effectively communicates with leadership and team members, requesting assistance as needed.
- Returns misplaced product, customer returns, and put backs to correct area of the store.
- Stocks merchandise on store fixtures following stocking plans and presentation standards.
- Verifies prices, assists with price changes on product and merchandise displays.
- Organizes, straightens, and replenishes merchandise and supplies throughout work areas.
- Creates, displays, and maintains required store signage on fixtures and shelves; monitors store signage to ensure in compliance with sign standards.
- Maintains housekeeping standards throughout work areas; cleans fixtures, checkout area, removes debris and trash, cleans up product spills, as needed.
- Demonstrates safe work methods and practices, including reporting safety issues promptly.
- Performs duties and responsibilities in a safe, efficient, accurate, and effective manner following policies and procedures.
- Performs additional duties, as necessary including but not limited to Return to Vendor (RTV) processing, merchandise processing, backroom organization, and cart retrieval.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Physical Requirements: Occasionally be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 40 pounds. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. May involve reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
