About the role

This role supports Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business. The Inside Sales Specialist II – Territory has an assigned territory or accounts and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing long-term business partnerships with those accounts. The position drives revenue growth and customer satisfaction by assisting accounts using both incoming and outbound sales strategies and superior customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the respective Territory Manager on sales strategies to maximize revenue with assigned and prospective accounts.
  • Answer incoming calls from assigned accounts to take sales orders and/or handle customer service issues.
  • Initiate proactive calls to established accounts to grow sales revenue and develop customer loyalty.
  • Assist accounts in the research and purchase of items that are both stocked and non-stocked by Animal Health and manufacturer partners.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by communicating with purchasers and utilizing reference materials as needed.
  • Assist accounts with questions or concerns while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude.
  • Assist accounts with the return of incorrect or damaged merchandise within established guidelines.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings to stay informed on new products, industry changes, and company updates.
  • Process orders for assigned territory and monitor backorder status for accounts.
  • Gather information regarding assigned territory or accounts and share relevant details with the Territory Manager.
  • Contact accounts to offer specials, programs, and communicate industry information that may benefit the account and the company.
  • Support general queue sales calls.
  • Travel requirements are minimal.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology or bachelor’s degree in an animal health field or equivalent agricultural degree is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or 2 or more years of progressively responsible experience in an animal health call center environment is preferred.

Pay

Full-time salary range: $43,300 - $79,310 (national average). The actual range may vary based on locale. State-specific ranges in Colorado, California, Washington, New York, Hawaii, Vermont, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Illinois may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range and up to 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
