Customer Contact Specialis
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Customer Contact Specialist to handle collections and customer service tasks for accounts delinquent 1-90 days. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and adhere to relevant laws and policies.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound collections calls professionally while maintaining customer relations.
- Handle inbound customer service calls professionally while improving customer relations.
- Discuss account details, answer customer inquiries, verify contact information, and provide excellent customer service.
- Efficiently provide payment options to customers and negotiate payment plans as needed.
- Follow up on payment arrangements and maintain records of contacts and conversations.
- Respond to emails in a professional manner and adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
- Meet daily goals and availability requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the team and independently as needed.
- Maintain a professional work ethic and adapt to changing circumstances.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Prior experience in debt collection preferred.
- Mortgage banking experience preferred.
- Telecommunication experience preferred.
- Familiarity with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other debt collection laws.
