Customer Complaints Management – 100% Remote

Location: Salt Lake City, UT | Duration: 10 Months | Hours: 40/week (1st Shift) | Employment Type: W2 Contract (US Citizens or Green Card holders only)

About the Role

This position reports to an Engineer in the Field Assurance Department, which is responsible for fielding customer complaints about medical devices. Complaints may come from patients, healthcare providers (physicians, nurses, or other staff), or other sources. The department investigates root causes of failures from an engineering perspective.

You will assist in processing customer complaints, supporting root cause analysis investigations, and contributing to engineering activities such as decontamination/processing of returned medical devices, data collection, analysis, and report preparation. The role involves managing customer complaint data and maintaining accurate, timely Excel reports.

Responsibilities

• Process customer complaint data and update Excel reporting.
• Assist in root cause analysis investigations for product failures.
• Support engineering activities, including decontamination and processing of returned medical devices.
• Collect, analyze, and report data related to customer complaints.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry and processing.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage a high volume of work under pressure.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in a related field or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (competent use of spreadsheets for data management).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Working knowledge of word processing, presentation software, and general computer skills.
• Ability to learn new databases with guided training.
• Excellent organizational, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data entry experience.
