Interview/Start Date: Denver Water will conduct in-person interviews for this position. A call simulation and screening questions will determine eligibility for an interview. The start date is Monday, September 14th, 2026.

About the role

This position is open to all qualified candidates; however, bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred. Under direct supervision, you will represent Denver Water as the first point of contact for customers, handling complaint processing, problem-solving, troubleshooting, research, billing inquiries, payment processing, and investigations. You will perform work according to established policies and procedures while delivering high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers via email and phone using multiple systems.
  • Follow up, review, and update unresolved customer inquiries to ensure satisfactory resolution.
  • Perform basic math and accounting functions, articulate billing discrepancies, reconcile account consumption and billing, provide payment options, process payments, and waive fees as authorized.
  • Recognize, document, and alert supervisors of trends related to customer inquiries.
  • Authorize and/or make billing adjustments in accordance with departmental authority.
  • Meet productivity and service quality expectations to deliver front-end customer service.
  • Perform related work as required.
