About the role
The Customer Care Representative (CCR) registers patients for outpatient services and inpatient admissions, performs insurance verifications and co-pay collections, and assists patients by being knowledgeable about the organization.
Responsibilities
- Accurately registers patients for outpatient services and inpatient admissions and schedules patients.
- Performs insurance verifications and co-pay collections.
- Assists patients by being knowledgeable about the organization.
- Contributes to CMH success by providing exceptional service that is respectful, compassionate, and customized to the individual's needs.
Requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to flow between tasks and exercise independent judgment as needed.
- Knowledgeable about the organization to assist patients when needed.
- A working knowledge of general office equipment including computer, fax, scanner, and multi-line phone system.
- Medical terminology is preferred.
- Ability to type with accuracy and minimal error including 10 key.
- Patience, attentiveness, clear communication skills, excellent time management skills, and a calming presence.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately perform data entry.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience/education.
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred and experience in healthcare field preferred.
