Custom Layout Designer (Analog Layout Designer)

Responsibilities

• Implementing high speed and high accuracy cells, blocks and IP blocks in a timely fashion with high quality and efficiency
• Building layouts and layout methodologies involving the latest nodes from the world leading foundries
• Collaborating with custom layout designers from groups all over the world to build high quality IP and test-chips
• Collaborating with circuit designers from groups all over the world to understand their technical and schedule needs
• Collaborating with the Cadence R&D teams (Virtuoso, PVS developers) to help develop the industry-leading layout editing and verification tools

Requirements

• BSEE, MSE
• Custom Layout Experience: 3 - 10 years
• Coding Skills are a plus
• Exposure to microelectronics design and requirements
• Understanding of layout effects on the circuit such as speed, capacitance, power and area etc.
• Knowledge of various analog layout techniques like matching, shielding etc.
• Exposure to Cadence Virtuoso Layout and physical verification tools

• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills

Benefits

• The annual salary range for Canada is $109,000 to $202,800.
• You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits.
• Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
