About the Role
Lead and coach a team of framers who focus on building customer relationships while creating custom framing solutions. Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in designing memorable framing solutions for their art.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
- Ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold the team accountable for store conditions and results.
- Develop and coach the team on selling behaviors.
- Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions on time by planning workload in partnership with the Store Manager.
- Achieve personal KPIs and manage the framing team to achieve their role KPIs.
- Review sales and production workload; build plans and allocate sales floor time for networking.
- Manage and execute inventory management processes as assigned.
- Oversee shrink and safety programs.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members; support talent development and performance management activities.
- Partner with MODs daily on framing expectations and team performance.
- Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; remain positive and professional, even in difficult situations.
- Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure standards are followed and completed within budget.
- Follow SOPs and Company programs to maintain a safe environment.
- Acknowledge customers, assist in locating products, and provide solutions.
- Support Omni channel processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
- Retail management experience.
- Experience leading a sales team.
Physical Requirements
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Lifting heavy boxes and frames; accessing high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment
Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled. Work may include outdoor tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains equipment like a glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
