Position Summary
Join a team that brings innovative exhibit designs to life. As a Custom Exhibit Fabricator, you will play a key role in building high-quality custom exhibits and displays that exceed client expectations. This position requires exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of materials while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and accuracy.
Essential Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom exhibits, displays, and related components according to project specifications and shop drawings.
- Produce high-quality work while ensuring precision, craftsmanship, and adherence to project timelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical diagrams to accurately construct exhibit components.
- Work with a variety of materials, including wood, aluminum, steel, paint, and graphics.
- Safely operate all approved shop equipment and tools to complete assigned projects.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members as needed.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to solve fabrication challenges and meet production goals.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years of carpentry and/or cabinetmaking experience, preferably in custom fabrication, exhibits, millwork, or related industries.
- Skills & Abilities: Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. General cabinetmaking and woodworking expertise with a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Working knowledge of wood, aluminum, steel, paint, graphics, and other fabrication materials. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting demanding production schedules. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow written, verbal, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Regularly lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Possess the manual dexterity required to safely operate hand and power tools and work with a variety of materials.
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while consistently following established safety procedures.
