About the role

Brady Corporation is seeking a Custom ETO Quote Specialist to join the team. In this role, you act as a crucial link between supply chain and clients, driving value through strategic sourcing, vendor management, and precise pricing, while continuing to provide an exceptional, culturally-aligned customer experience. Engineered to Order (ETO) Quotations are focused on highly customized workplace safety products, which entails use of variant configurations and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, sales, vendors, operational partners, and peers. Responsibilities are specialized within the Customer Support & Operations Function.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cost, discount, and profit calculation as well as unit of measure conversion.
  • Works directly with external vendors to acquire accurate cost structures for products produced outside of Brady facilities.
  • Process documentation: Collaborate with Training, Team Lead and Operations to map out Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for costing internally produced products. Use available resources to generate pricing for internally produced products.
  • Responds to inquiries from internal and external customers for pricing and prepare then deliver timely and accurate quotations using SAP, variant configuration, and cost models.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, R&D, Quality, Marketing, Product Managers, and Master Data.
  • Contributes to process improvements and initiatives to help drive a best-in-class customer experience and to deliver cost savings and process optimization.
  • Performs detailed review of customer specifications and cross-references with published technical data sheets and manufacturing capability to determine compliance to requested specifications.
  • Understands the need for escalation to leadership relative to barriers that impede quotation turnaround time.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed individual and team performance targets, driving high-volume throughput, unwavering pricing accuracy, and rapid turnaround times for our customers.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years within a professional work environment or equivalent job-related experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with Google Workspace
  • Ability to make decisions independently
  • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to details
  • Ability to take a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to identify problems and root cause for solutions and sustainable improvement
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to adapt to process changes and updates
  • Salesforce, SAP and Excel experience are a plus
