Custom Applicator Program - State Fair Community College
About the role
MFA Incorporated has partnered with State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri, to provide a one-year certificate in Agriculture Chemical Application. This program is designed for individuals who want to gain a fast track to potential employment, earn a certificate in the agriculture field, work in a high-demand field, further their knowledge of agriculture, operate heavy equipment, earn a Custom Applicator’s License, earn a Class A CDL, and earn a scholarship to help pay for classes.
Responsibilities
- Learn in-depth skills from elite educators and MFA industry professionals
- Specialize in sprayers, spreaders, mechanics, agronomy, safety, compliance, and true customer partnering
- After completing the program, students will have the advanced knowledge, training, and confidence needed to succeed as skilled agricultural custom applicators
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass a background check
- Pass a drug test

- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Good communication and customer service skills

Pay
The pay for this position is competitive and will vary based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This program consists of one fall semester (August-December) and only eight weeks in the classroom during the spring semester (January-March). For the final eight weeks (March-May), MFA-sponsored students will complete an internship with MFA staff at a retail location.
