Custodian Worker

About the role

Cleans and maintains office buildings to ensure a clean and orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas, including showers, washbasins, toilets, mirrors, floors, and walls using brooms, mops, soap, and other cleaning materials.
• Performs cleaning duties such as waxing floors, emptying trash cans and waste baskets.
• Dusts desks, furniture, and equipment; washes and cleans windows.
• Sweeps walkways and surrounding areas of the building as required.
• Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Reports necessary maintenance items in a timely manner.
• Places orders for cleaning supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (ability to read and write in English).
• Driver’s license required.

Physical Demands

• Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
