Custodian (Updated Rate: $20.75 - $22.00)

Williams College Facilities Department is seeking full-time Custodians to maintain a safe, beautiful, and sustainable campus environment. This is a year-round, 40-hour-per-week position.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 5:30 am – 2:00 pm (may change based on department needs)
• Eligible for premium pay for holidays, weekends, emergency snow response, and other qualifying shifts

Responsibilities

• General cleaning throughout designated campus areas
• Light maintenance work
• Snow shoveling in winter
• Bed making during summer conference season
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Experience in general cleaning, maintenance, carpet and floor care is desirable
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to follow safety instructions, operate cleaning equipment, and use sanitizing dispensing units
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance
• Ability to use wearable equipment

Pay

$20.75 – $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
