Custodian Sweeper - Elementary

Non-contract position with no benefits. Hours: 3–4 hours per day. Hourly rate: $13.64–$16.74, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with site snow removal to ensure access and safety for students, staff, and visitors.
• Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds (classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, grounds, etc.) to maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.
• Prepares site for daily operations (opening gates, raising flags, sweeping walkways, etc.) to ensure facilities are operational and hazard-free.
• Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies (paper towels, soap, etc.) to ensure adequate quantities for daily use.
• Secures facilities and grounds (doors, gates, alarms, lights, etc.) to minimize property damage, equipment loss, and/or potential liability.
• Supports other site maintenance staff (grounds, trades, etc.) to complete site custodial activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
