Custodian, Seasonal (Weekend Shift)

About the role

Carter’s Inc. is the largest North American apparel retailer exclusively for babies and young children, encompassing Carter’s, OshKosh B’gosh, Skip*Hop, and Little Planet brands. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Sr. Mgr, Safety and Maintenance and is based in either our Braselton or Stockbridge Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle daily cleaning tasks for offices, break rooms, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to the maintenance department.
• Wear appropriate safety equipment, including work boots and gloves, as required.
• Complete additional distribution functions as instructed, including support of maintenance activities.
• Observe housekeeping, safety, and C-TPAT compliance in assigned areas; adhere to company safety policies.
• Support the Coordinator/Supervisor in all duties, including operational areas of the Distribution Center.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Breakdown: 75% daily operations, 25% support functions.

Requirements

• Team player willing to perform various job duties to support department and facility objectives.
• Customer-service orientation with a focus on exceeding expectations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, use RF scanning equipment, bend, twist, and stand for shifts up to 12 hours.
• Strong communication skills with supervisors, managers, and peers.
• Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods (no vacation or personal time) during peak periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience.
• Self-starter with a desire to exceed expectations.
