Custodian (Night Shift)

Essential Functions

• Perform daily custodial duties in assigned building areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Clean, sanitize, and preserve designated spaces, equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
• Restock custodial and maintenance supplies; monitor inventory levels and report usage to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate work-related records and prepare reports as directed.
• Follow verbal and written instructions from the supervisor to complete assigned tasks.
• Support facility operations by assisting with special activities and unscheduled events as needed.
• Provide courteous assistance to visitors and staff utilizing the facilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively through oral and written instructions.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of custodial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Background Prerequisites

• Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Regularly stand and walk for extended periods.
• Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, and equipment.
• Frequently reach with hands and arms in various directions (forward, outward, overhead).
• Frequently squat, stoop, or kneel.
• Frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk beyond average ranges.
• Frequently use hand strength to grasp tools, supplies, and ladder rungs.
• Sometimes sit while completing tasks.
• Sometimes push or pull items such as tables, scrubbing machines, or furniture.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds (e.g., cleaning supplies, pails, bags/boxes).
• Sometimes lift and/or move up to 80 pounds (e.g., bags of salt, furniture).
