Responsibilities
In your role at CubeSmart Self-Storage, you will be required to manage and maintain your property. The Custodian is responsible for:
- Keeping a clean and safe storage facility to ensure the condition meets company guidelines (changing lightbulbs, landscaping, parking, paving, fence, walls, doors, painting).
- Providing upkeep of the appearance of the building and property by sweeping hallways, stairs, and storage spaces, including restroom areas.
- Cleaning vacated units on a timely basis and preparing units for future rentals.
- Reporting maintenance requirements, potential equipment failures and unsafe conditions to management.
- Conducting daily storage unit inspections; confirming inventory availability and ensuring spaces are ready to be rented.

Requirements
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicate and interact professionally with teammates and customers.
- Make basic repairs; use handheld tools and equipment.
- Ability to work Saturdays.
- While performing duties, frequently required to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb or balance on a ladder.
- On occasion, may need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to travel daily to and from other facilities for various tasks as directed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
- Some locations may require Sunday hours.
