Custodian/Janitorial Technician

About the role

The role involves maintaining cleanliness and order in public spaces, including schools, offices, and other facilities. Duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning restrooms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas
• Sweep, mop, and dust common areas
• Clean restrooms and other high-touch surfaces
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines
• Report any maintenance issues to supervisors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Basic computer literacy
• First aid and CPR certification (optional but preferred)
