Custodian/Janitorial Associate

About the role

The Custodian maintains sanitation standards across the facility and supports production operations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety, food safety, and quality standards, and the ability to perform physical tasks in a wet production environment and exterior.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP’s and wear appropriate PPE for the work being conducted.
• Maintain an inventory of all paper products, sanitary hand soap, and cleaning supplies.
• General cleaning of the plant, including restrooms, break areas, offices, lab, conference rooms, and adjacent areas.
• Empty all trash cans and continually maintain clean conditions.
• Supply all bathrooms with appropriate paper and soap products.
• Clean administration building and offices.
• Clean and maintain the warehouse, plastic strip curtains, white lines, yellow barriers, floors, walls, and ceilings.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, break room, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.
• Clean and maintain offices, lobby, conference rooms, and hallways.
• Maintain the exterior of the building (trash pick-up, salting as needed in the winter, leaf pick-up in fall, etc.).
• Conduct daily operational checks and complete Master Sanitation paperwork.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Good communication skills (English and/or Spanish) and ability to work as a team with co-workers and plant personnel.
• Flexibility and ability to prioritize job responsibilities.
• Ability to read English or Spanish policies and procedures and adhere to them.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Participate in annual CIP and chemical handling training.
• Participate in monthly plant trainings.
• High school Diploma or GED.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
• Occasional Saturdays.

Pay

• Starting salary: $17.00 per hour.
• New hire bonus up to $500.00.
• Perfect Attendance Monthly Bonus Program up to $100.00.
