About the role

This position involves manual work in the care and cleaning of school buildings and grounds. Work is subject to inspection by the custodial manager for compliance with established standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and maintenance of school buildings and surrounding grounds.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment according to established procedures.
• Work independently without direct supervision, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Assume lead responsibility for the completion of cleaning assignments as needed.
• Ensure work meets the custodial manager’s standards of cleanliness and passes inspection.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of cleaning operations, procedures, and equipment.

Skills

• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
• Capability to lead and coordinate cleaning tasks when required.
• Attention to detail to meet established cleanliness standards.
