Custodian/ Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Sweep all non-carpeted floor surface areas, including corners and abutments.
• Mop and buff tile and resilient flooring areas.
• Apply floor finish coatings.
• Move and return chairs, trash receptacles, and other items.
• Remove spill marks and mop streaks from furniture and walls.
• Strip and wax hard surface floors.
• Empty and return wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Dust horizontal and vertical surfaces on furniture.
• Clean mirrors and glass surfaces.
• Clean porcelain or stainless-steel surfaces.
• Disinfect restroom and locker room surfaces.
• Supplement restrooms with supplies.
• Perform high dusting.
• Clean window and light fixture surfaces.
• Clean air conditioning vents.
• Clean grounds, landscape beds, driveways, parking areas, and sidewalks.
• Mow grass and control weeds.
• Clean parking lots and driveways.
• Water plants and maintain surfaces.

Requirements

• Ability to work within a normal five to seven-day week observed by building occupants.
• Work schedule: Monday-Friday: 6am to 3pm or 1PM- 10PM every other weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in janitorial or groundskeeping.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
