Custodian - Full Time

Responsibilities

• Cleaning building entrances, hallways, classrooms, restrooms, laboratories, offices, floor and windows and their contents.
• Dry vacuuming rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture periodically to remove light soil and dust.
• Washing areas such as windows, blinds, door panels, sills, and woodwork using cleaning solutions, poles, and squeegees to remove dirt.
• Polishing furniture and metalwork with oils and other solutions.
• Sweeping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines as needed.
• Cleaning dorm facilities in the summer months.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A valid driver’s license is preferred. Previous custodial experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
