About the role

Maintenance, Janitorial, & Driver Responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the Corps, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, dusting, and cleaning windows (interior and exterior garage).
• Ensure all Salvation Army vehicles are clean and fueled.
• Report problems and periodic maintenance needs; walk through the building daily to identify items needing attention, cleaning, or repair and notify Corps Officers, repairing/replacing when capable.
• Drive for various errands and daily operational needs; assist with seasonal driving for programs.
• Maintain grounds of the Corps property: grass areas, landscaping, and parking lot.
• Maintain, monitor, and order janitorial supplies as needed.
• Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Corps Officers.
• Supervise volunteers and community service workers when needed.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license required.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of repairs, safe cleaning, and building safety.
• Ability to adhere to a structured schedule.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced team environment.
• Flexibility, patience, and compassion for people.
